CLASSES

HATHA

In this traditional yoga practice we aim the body and mind to merge through the breath. To experience the energetic effects of Hatha Yoga, we hold the Asanas for a longer period of time. The slow pace and static holds, enable us to bring focus and calm into our mind. Intelligent sequenced classes build with intention and understanding of the energetic effect of each Asana on all Koshas or "layers" in our body, is leading us to a better understanding of ourselves and a peaceful state of being. In this practice we integrate the 5 Elements according to Ayurveda: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space and align those to specific Asana Groups. By working with Asana, Pranayama, Kriyas, Mudras and Mantras in the most harmonious way, this practice will enable us to experience the sacred depth of the practice.

HATHA FLOW

This class incorporates all aspects of a traditional Hatha Yoga class as Asana, Pranayama, Kriyas, Mudras and Mantras, while incorporating some gentle, mindful 

movements. Intelligent sequenced classes build with intention and understanding of the energetic effect of each Asana on all Koshas or "layers" in our body, is leading us to a better understanding of ourselves and a peaceful state of being. In this practice we integrate the 5 Elements according to Ayurveda: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space and align those to specific Asana Groups. Mellow background music will accompany our practice.

VINYASA

Fluid, creative and joyful body movements are aligned with the rhythm of our breath to energize our body and mind. 

In a Vinyasa Flow, we work with the breath as a guide for the physical movements of our bodies... the pace of the breath decides about the pace pf the movement. This practice is mindful and fun! We get in tune with our intuition and allow the body to expand in its own way. We embrace the spontaneous movements with encouraging mellow beats.

By working with Asana, Pranayama, Kriyas, Mudras and Mantras in the most harmonious way, this practice will enable us to experience the sacred depth of the practice.

MEDITATION

& PRANAYAMA

The Power of Prana, the so called vital energy or life elixir, is one of the most essential parts for meditation. During this class you will learn different Breathing, Cleansing (Kriya) and Meditation techniques to calm your mind and to recharge and restore your Prana. The class is structured in a way that we begin to purify the energy channels by a few gentle movements which lead us to Kirya (cleansing techniques) and immerse then into Mediation through Breath and / or Mantra. This class is aiming to bring calmness and peace into our head space and to reduce stress, restlessness and anxiety.

All session will be recorded, so you can come back to these techniques anytime if you feel the "monkey mind" is taking over and you need some time to soothe your nervous system.

A regular practice will help you to center yourself, to establish focus and concentration and to remain at ease in difficult moments. A healthy mind is key for a happy life and a happy heart.

YIN

Yin Yoga is a meditative practice to release not only tightness and tension in the the deeper and more subtler layers within ourbody, such as connective tissues and fascia, but also this practice helps us to stimulate our Parasympathetic Nervous System which is promoting to calm and relax the mind. In the "silent" slow paced approach of Yin Yoga, we work with smooth long holds between 3-10 minutes, which allows us to to experience the deep and nourishing essence and effects of the practice.  

The classes consist out of a series of long-held, "passive" floor poses. In these classes we work closely with the elements, meridian lines and acupressure points known from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This practice focuses on slowing down, tuning in and letting go.
